We coat the top of the placemat with either gloss UV coating so they can be wiped clean in seconds.

The day I launched my cotton table linens I realized I needed an easy to clean cork backed version.  I have three boys and a husband who can’t seem to get the food from plate to his mouth cleanly! Our first use revealed food stains galore! And while cotton is easily cleaned in the wash, I wanted those wipe clean placemats we all grew up with. I chose cork backed for a few reasons, it’s a renewable resource, it doesn’t slip and I like the feel. Topped with my chinoiserie pattern and matching napkins it’s a great addition to any household, especially ones with messy eaters. I save my cotton linens for guests :)
